LIEberman and 11 Democrats voted *for* torture, rape, sodomy, waterboarding, prison without trial, "accidental" and accidental deaths, etc. etc.

Any four of these 10 prevented us from filibustering this bill:
Carper (Del.) <- a very very progressive state so should be vulnerable in the next primary
Johnson (S.D.)
Landrieu (La.) <- she voted against Democratic amendments, also.
Lautenberg (N.J.)
Lieberman (Conn.) <- take this MF down, now. Vote Lamont.
Menendez (N.J) <- this guy is losing his Senate battle to a much worse Republican.
Pryor (Ark.)
Rockefeller (W. Va.)
Salazar (Co.)
Stabenow (Mich.)
Nelson (Fla.)
Nelson (Neb.) <- He voted against Democratic amendments, also.

And of course:
Every single solitary Republican, including the ones who pretend to be moderate voted for rape, sodomy, pulpifying body parts, waterboarding, and prison without trials.

Don't get mad and lash out against everyone, including your allies. Keep a long memory and Get even.

I've been informed that Chafee voted against it (most likely because he is an opportunist losing his election)
And Snowe (another Republican from a progressive state) refused to go on the record.
These appear to be the only two Republicans who didn't vote yes.

3. Let's make it VERY clear: Every true Democrat voted No.
The rest are no Democrats. Thank God my Dem voted against this anti-American legislation.

5. I'm starting to wonder if I'm in the wrong country
Maybe the leaders aren't the problem. Maybe it's the people. They have no problem with this. It's presented as the detainee treatment act. It's presented that they are all of course, guilty. I live in a country that doesn't understand the idea of innocence. The idea of tryanny, and one man not having all the power. I thought these were my people. Now I'm wondering. Fascism by definition, giving all the power to the state to keep you "safe". Americans are ignorant of all history. Apparently we need or five hundred years war to get us on par with Europe.

All those Republicans represent a lot of people. They scare me. All of them.

6. Wait, though....Landrieu and Nelson of FlA plus Lautenberg/Menendez
voted for two important Dem Amendments today (and they might have voted for Senator Byrd's Sunset Provision...but I didn't see final tally).

Yes...in the end they voted with Bush, though. So, it's hard to see them as any kind of hero because when the "Bush Push...came to Shove" they CAVED.

But, still they did try to overwhelm the Dems. It probably was all an ACT of "Stand Tough Dems" until the FINAL BILL was the CLINCHER, though.

So they are guilty of HYPOCRACY...

9. Good points. Even though the amendments didn't make any difference.
I don't have the information on who exactly voted for each amendment at the moment. I remember that the two I mentioned voted against some of them though.

8. Stabenow grows very tiresome; flag burning bill, now this
She is supporting an awful lot of crap to merit support these days. First she backed the flag burning bill, and now this. Give me Carl Levin any day; that's a Senator.

10. If Chafee voted No, then it's not "every single solitary" Repuke, is it?
Sorry, man, but you know how that goes...
