Just posted a similar comment below, but in responding to Libs, it is worthwhile to note that the Pelosi-Kerry pro-terrorist line on this being an abuse of the Constitution is absolutely false on its face: this bill has nothing to do with American citizens or even non-US citizens in the US, and has nothing to do with Constitutional rights for Americans - although of course the Comrades would like to extend Constitutinal rights to illegal aliens and terrorist if they could.

I have a simple question that I think we should all consider: this legislation grants the president unlimited, unfettered authority to designate any person, including a US citizen, an enemy combatant and imprison that person without trial, charges or any judicial review.

It is likely that there will be a democratic president at some point in the future, possibly even a President Hillary Clinton. Do we want President Hillary Clinton to have that power?

Not exactly true. The designation as an enemy combatant would be made by a military tribunal, subject to certain rules, not the President. Therefore there would be a judicial review.
