Yeah yeah...it ain't real but then neither is America's democracy

However, my fake ice cream is better for me than America's deMOCKracy.

8. Is C Boys still open?
I can't think of the real name of the joint now, I'm reasonably sure that it was C Boy's BBQ, made semi famous by the Fabulous Thunderbirds. I recalll it was kind of a seedy looking joint on the outside but had GREAT BBQ and music. It's been many many years since I went to Austin and I was um, well, altered a lot of the time, so the memory is a bit fuzzy. I do remember Antone's though.

17. Wow.
We're like spiritually connected in a way. It seems like we do the same things or think the same things sometimes.

Just amazing.

You're my long lost soul-friend mate for life!

19. I'm glad I am here too.
I'm trying to catch up and read all these threads. I was off today and out and about all day. I just sat down about 20 mins. ago and turned on the news and DU so I just found out about the torture bill passage.

The man and I made dinner and watched a movie with the kids so I wasn't up to date with the latest news.

Now, I am reading like crazy.
The man is folding clothes and I am DUing.

:bounce:

:hi:

He's a real Mr. Mom. He does everything!

:bounce:

I'm sure my man is going to bed soon too. He usually goes around 10 or so.
He has to get up at 5.

So then I'll be lonely. Just me and the DU!

Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 08:01 PM by mcscajun
I think it does.

When the whole country is going to hell in the proverbial handbasket, what's a little alcohol and sugar binge?

Screw you, Mary Poppins!
Just a bottle of cider helps the torture go down, the torture go down, the torture go down,
Just a pint full of cider helps the torture go down, Damn my NJ Senators!

I don't have any in the house. No ice cream, either. Maybe I'll watch some repeats of The West Wing.

28. Hell YES, I'm drinking!
I'd rather have pot, but there ain't any around. So booze it is. It's my personal Irish wake for the passing of a once great nation.

A toast to our dear departed Republic! Let us keep the memory alive of the principles and values that used to matter, but that have now passed into history.

33. I started at 3 am this morning. Stopped when I went to bed at 6 am.
Gonna put season three of "24" in the DVD drive and wish that Palmer really was the President and that Jack Bauer was getting ready to bring * to justice. (Since * is for torture, I can't think of anyone better than Jack to do the job.) And yes, I'll be drinking.
