6. Both NJ Dems!
I cannot believe this. Lautenberg and Menendez voted for this travesty.

I am in shock-- I feel utterly betrayed.

What's more, I am savaging myself because I neglected to call their offices-- I was busy and I stupidly thought I could count on them.

11. Nelson (FL) led me to believe that he would be voting against
I called them and they said that the phone was overwhelmed today with the majority of callers expressing the same sentiments as I. Fuck Bill Nelson. I cannot wait to call him tomorrow. He doesn't have my vote, been fighting with him since the 2000 election when I asked that MF'er to support the Black Caucus on the electoral vote in the house. I told him that he got 25,000 more votes than supposedly Gore did as a first time runner for the senate. That he had to know that something wasn't right here in Florida and to fight for our rightful president. I still have that wimpy letter he wrote to me regarding that issue.

I'd vote for Nelson over her even if they were dragging my family and me to Gitmo.

27. What difference does it really make
At least with Katy and her traveling duo "Moxie and Spunk" we will have loads of laughs.

I am in a really bad cynical mood tonight.

Nelson has not done this state any good, going back when he was Insurance commissioner.

I have been begging this guy to do the right thing going back to the 2000 election, where he was seen laughing at the black caucus in the movie F-911.

He does not deserve my vote.

12. FRANK LAUTENBERG
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT?!

I swear to God my heart stopped when I read his name....

And to the gentleman from DU who told me a couple of weeks ago to shove my vote for the Independent Fl Senate candidate up my ass - you sir can now kiss my ass because ONCE AGAIN BILL NELSON VOTED INCORRECTLY and I will not not not not not EVER VOTE for anyone who could vote in favor of the country I LOVED to torture...and sadly Frank Lautenberg who I have always loved that goes for you - and now I DON'T REALLY EVEN GIVE A SHIT IF KATHERINE HARRIS WINS BECAUSE WHAT FUCKING DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE. Well I do care because I FUCKING HATE HER AND SHE SHOULD BE IN PRISON FOR ELECTION FRAUD - but really what difference does it make anymore....we're lost

23. Menendez is up for re-election now
not that I excuse him but I can at least suspect why he would do such a dumb ass thing and also there is something not completely right with that guy because he voted for the flag burning ammendment which is beyond my comprehension but I seriously can not think of a vote that I have disagreed on with Frank Lautenberg not that I've followed them all I'm not even in NJ - but his yes vote has ASTONISHED ME....

24. It WILL make a difference
Would Harris have voted differently? On this vote no. On 80% of the other votes, yes.

Keep your eyes on the prize... ranking members could be chairmen/chairwomen, we set the agenda, we have supoena power, we have the majority on EVERY committee... That CAN'T be any worse and a far sight better, even accounting for DINOs and the DLC....

Wait until the next primaries to protest and kick the appeasers out, but not now.

I'm pretty gung ho about getting Dems in the majority this November. But when the Supreme Court tells the President he doesn't have the power to do something that violates the constitution and then Congress just gives that power right back to him, what's the point in even having a Congress?

I understand the usual suspects voting for this bill but I can't for the life of me understand why Lautenberg, Stabbenow, and Carper voted for it (yes I know Carper's a DLC leader but that's not a good enough explanation for me considering that many DLC leaders voting against it).

I know that Menendez probably voted for it for his re-election but I don't excuse it. Yea he's down a few points in the polls but it's due to a few bad weeks of news cycles that he simply can't control. It's so fucking obvious that he's a better choice for Senator than Kean and New Jersey is smart enough to see that if he gets his message out. There's no real reason for him to be caving on something like this.

25. ReList This On Nov. 8th...
First...so we can refresh ourselves on who was where and when on this sad date. Then, we can examine the "D"s on this and the House list and see how we can help Progressive candidates in the 2008 primaries.

Right now, this bill sticks on the Repugnicans...and makes them the party of torture, renegades to International Law, against habeus corpus and in favor of tapping your phone, mail and email. Let's keep the focus on this for the next 5 weeks, please...then we can look at who on our side of the aisle needs a closer look.

Peace...
