Liberal bloggers and web site publishers; Are you getting 'skeered?
Considering this bill and its ramifications, are any of you getting a bit worried about what you post? If this bill passes, virtually any one of us could hear a knock on the door and "disappear" one day. At Bush's sole discretion. Which, of course, isn't his at all, he only follows Cheney's and Rummy's orders, but still...I have to admit, I'm getting a bit nervous. My site, "NotBannedYet.us," is fairly popular, but no KOS or DU. It is always critical of Bush, and my online store sells stickers and shirts I sometimes cannot even believe people purchase. About.com labels my site "seditionist." I'm seriously considering replacing "NotBannedYet" with "Banned" and just hanging it all up. I dunno...I'm just wondering...I don't have any connections, no money, no shit. But my anti-Bush cartoons can be found on web sites from here to Helsinki. I know I am very small potatoes in a very big stew, but still, I am not on their side. How about you?

Anyone else the least bit concerned?

1. I'm sure there will be many court challenges
Bush can sign anything he wants. Since it is blatantly unconstitutional, we can tie it up in the courts for a long time.

This is a desperation move by BushCo and their co-conspirators. The DEMS must and will take the House and Senate. Then the real fun begins.

10. Concerned and scared
yes

Will I change or even stop expressing the views I have now
no chance
I think the house and senate races were decided today by Reid.

I do think its time for me to get my "I did not commit suicide" tattoo

Bush makes Chavez look like a decent alternative

2. Not scared
But smart enough to go underground if need be. Freedom has a way of finding itself again.

NEVER NEVER NEVER give up. It is not an option.

3. Yes and no.
It would, really, make no sense for them to come after me. But they are some fucked-up, retributive, petty bastards, so... who knows?

I am certainly not going to shut up, though.

6. Nah, not me.
if only for the simple reason that "disappearing" their critics does them more harm than good, unless they do it all at once, or in quick succession. And if that happens, whether or not I continue my blog will be the least of my concerns.

7. Try not to worry
"If you fear God, you don't have to fear anything else". I don't remember the exact quote from the Proverbs, but it keeps me going in the face of paranoia. I'm more worried about getting cancer or losing a loved one.

By the way, when you type "Carlyle Group" into google, my site comes up right after the real Carlyle Group website, I try not to let it worry me :P

There are too many people speaking out, odds of probability say they can't get all of us!

~*Peace*~

8. I have been wondering about this
I noted back when they were going after harmless animal activists and environmentalists, that the day would soon come when it was anyone whose opinion they did not like.
Free...HAH

Call me a drama queen but its so insane I feel scared just posting on DU of late....when your innocence is no longer important, when people in power can just decide you are a "threat" based on nothing at all, your freedom is nil.

12. I guess I'm the first to admit I'm scared.
I don't have my own blog-just post on different forums, very small potatoes myself. But how can anyone NOT wonder or worry given the direction this country is now headed?! :scared: :tinfoilhat:
