whats with McCain??
thought he was against torture?.......not its okay with him?

was he really tortured in Nam/......or did he make the crap up?
All I know is that he broke his legs or legs when his plane was shot down.......did he reveal the names of others in his unit /or the green bay line-up?
How do we know that this was true?..........time for him to start answering questions!!!!!!!

Is he a sellout scumbag, or a sellout shithead?

9. McCain SIGNED A CONFESSION for war crimes under tortureous
conditions. THAT alone should sway him from agreeing with * on this bill.

BUT, I'm certain that R's were threatened with funding if they did not "compromise."

11. McCain lost any chance he had to be President...
Because a lot of Democrats and Independents supported him before this. I seriously doubt that he is now a serious contender.

12. from his own words in book
from his own words

I lay in my own blood and waste, so tired and hurt that I could not move. The Prick came in with two other guards, lifted me to my feet, and gave me the worst beating I had yet experienced ... Despairing of any relief from pain and further torture, and fearing the close reproach of my moment of dishonor, I tried to take my life. I doubt I really intended to kill myself. But I couldn't fight anymore, and I remember deciding that the last thing I could do to make them believe I was still resisting, that I wouldn't break, was to attempt suicide.

13. He was against torture before he was for it. Grandstand
McCain, the Republican with "values" that stood up briefly to gain a non-compromise as cover for pResident Bush.

16. Just because he was tortured, doens't mean he won't torture others.

Does that make sense? The man has no integrity, and believe his initial outrage and opposition to Bush was an act.

17. I'm convinced he's just an evil son of a bitch
No different from the rest of the scumbags running the country.

I have no idea what the fuck he's trying to pull. Does this asshole actually believe that most Americans approve of torture?!

Screw him. He's a complete sellout and I'll work hard to make sure this bastard never becomes president.

21. I actually did have a lot of respect for him at one time.
A lot from the fire on the USS Forestall when he was filmed running down the nose of the A-4 which was on fire and armed with 500 lb bombs. Perhaps it was that military thing we shared. I thought him a hero for the POW bit too. So, I was disappointed before with his Bush embracing performance after being Roved & knew him for what he was, but this affair is just further icing on the cake, I suppose.

18. He's put party over love of country
And this isn't the first time. Nothing about him surprises me anymore. He is about as much of a "maverick" as the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
I lost all respect for him after he was swift-boated ruthlessly, and then swallowed it whole to suck *'s (insert chimp part here).

I hope he runs for President. Lots of pictures of him sucking up to Bush, even eating cake with him while New Orleans drowned. He is just as guilty for not saying "hey, George, maybe we should be worried about what's going on in the Gulf".. NO.. he was more interested in photo ops and kissing up than Americans in desperate need.

19. McCain spent his captivity performing oral sex on the North Vietnamese
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 03:22 PM by IanDB1
It wasn't that he HAD to.

He WANTED to.

They kept trying to free him, but he kept returning back to the prison, every time they turned him loose.

In fact, he was upset when the war ended and they made him go home.

Some people say.

22. McCain has been far less than truthful about the way he actually...
thinks & feels about a host of issues; appearing on the daily show like just another comedian that happenes to be wearing a suit, he plays to the laughs on the left and has been enjoying his role as a moderate...but he is a war hawk imo, and imfo should not be mis-perceived as some dove or centrist
