Ask your congressman or woman, if they are PRO TORTURE.
Would they want these same things done to them or members of their families? Some of the people who have already suffered this kind of mistreatment or even death from this kind of thing, were no more guilty than you or I or your congressman. Torture is wrong and we ALL know it.

After this thing passes if it does pass I will always remember who in Washington was PRO TORTURE. I'll never forget or forgive any of these BAD APPLES!

1. I know my rep stands for torture & I intend to remind everyone!
I intend to tell everyone I talk to about politics (and I'm more than willing to start the conversations!) that our district rep supports torture & by doing so, puts our soldiers in more danger.

This bill gives George Bush the authority to designate anyone, American citizen or otherwise, as an enemy combatant, and then hold that person indefinitely, torturing him or her all the while, until the person either dies (from torture or old age) or the so-called war on terror "ends."

This is sadism. And Mark Kirk (the rubber stamp republican incumbent for my district) voted for it. Mark Kirk condones torture & ignores the rule of law set forth by the Great Writ/Magna Carta. This is the "democracy" he supports??? This is how he supports our troops -- by subjecting them to ever-higher levels of anti-American feelings abroad & accelerating and deepening this hatred of our country???

2. If they want to live in a nation that tortures people they should...
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 01:54 PM by Hubert Flottz
have joined Saddam instead of attacking him, because they are doing what Saddam would do. How are they any better?

My rep...Shellie Moore Capito voted for torture too the best I can tell. Is she into S&M too?

4. Great point! One of my *talking points* is...
to ask people (rhetorically) to explain to me how this torture bill makes our country & our president any different from Iraq under Saddam Hussein...

3. I don't have to ask my Congresswoman
Barbara Lee would never vote for something like this. I'm so glad I live in her district.

5. We have four democrats in congress from WV...
And we have one pro torture republican who has even taken a big chunk of the crooked cash from the Culture Of Corruption Mob.

Capito's Dad...Arch Moore former governor of WV had to do three years in the federal slammer at the end of his last term. Her sister and her husband were busted for dealing coke and now they found out that Shellie was on the take too. Moore Family Values right? The state lost 250 million in the stock market while Shellie's dad was governor too.

Why are people STUPID enough to TRUST these people? America KNOWS that Bush has lied over and over and still, the GOP has the gall to ask us to trust Bush again, to do the right thing on this torture bill?

10. Cornyn's staffer argued with me.
him: "Nothing about torture in this bill."

me: "Is there anything about secret evidence?

him: *silence*

me: "This bill is shameful and they all know it. Our reputation has been dragged down far enough these past few years. We cannot afford to drag it down any further. I pray Sen. Cornyn appeals to the angels of his better nature."

him: "I'll pass that on."

me: "Thank you and God bless you."

11. Sen. Cornyn is Bush's number one son.
And Kay the Cheerleader is a total bushbot too. I hope there really is a God. And I hope God is as foolproof as the preachers all claim. It would almost be worth going to Hell just to watch the GOPers roast. Hell I've been a welder for 35 years I can take the hot sparks and the smoke and brimstone!

Pat and Jerry are PRO TORTURE TOO!
