FYI, THE FILIBUSTER DOES NOT EXIST IN THE HOUSE
It only exists in the Senate.

60 Yes votes are needed for a bill to go to final vote.

This is the only way the torture bill can be stopped.

The GOP controls the House and even if all Dems voted no, the bill passes anyways.

The Senate is the MORE IMPORTANT VOTE.

2. yep, and the senate dems can kill this monstrosity EASILY...
...if they choose to do so. All it takes is 41 votes against cloture to defeat this. Just forty-one patriots to stand behind American principles. I cannot believe it has come to this so quickly.

3. The Dems HAD BETTER DO S O M E T H I N G
This is big. Bigger than Alito. Bigger than Roberts. This impacts The Constitution itself. There should be no compromise, and no exceptions!

9. Or what? What do you think?
The Constitution of the United States of America is about to be changed, right before our eyes. Habeus corpus is a basic part of the Constitution, a right that protects our freedoms, and it is being stripped from us.

Once the door is opened to compromising the Constitution, our rights are gone. What happens next is anyone's guess, but I can assure you it will not be pretty.

4. Harry Reid (Idiot, Nevada) has already said no to a filibuster.
We have conceded again without a fight.

7. Funny that people will spend hours every week for years bitching...
...and still won't know how their government works.
