Woodward's new book: "State of Denial: Bush at War, Part III"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0743272234/ref=amb_link_3618752_2/104-3767826-0385505

The book will be released on Oct 2, 2006. Per the description below, what the hell else could Woodward possibly add to the mountain of fact, insight and analysis contained in the slew of books published recently about B*sh & his Iraq Folly? Has Woodward been holding out on on his previous books, "Plan of Attack" and "Bush at War", saving these "intimate" tidbits for a third book on the subject? Or has he descovered 'new' information, new witnesses now emboldened to talk, since the publication of his last book?

I don't get it. What does Woodward have to add, after 2 books on the subject, and why now?

From Sludge (sorry!):

WOODWARD BOOK: Kissinger is secret, regular visitor to President Bush. The president likes to receive visits from Nixon's former and most famous aide... MORE... 60 MINUTES/Woodward interview set for Sunday, along with rollout in WASHPOSTNEWSWEEK... Woodward now provides public with 'most intimate account' yet of Iraq War...

9. I think he worries he banked all his credibility with the Bush family and
he's about to go under permanently if he doesn't add some truth to his account, and quickly.

2. Fuck Bob Woodward
this useless old journalistic whore has been squeezed as dry as any old sponge, long ago...he's the resident chronicler and court jester of the ruling class, the living embodiment of the utter uselessness of the courtier class we categorize as "The Media"...just fuck him. Nothing he says now has any interest to any free American...

3. Good question. He's lost his journalistic creds imo. Maybe all
he knows how to do is write books. I think he's a sell-out, so I'm not so interested.

4. He has to add a modicum of criticism of Bushco
to try to save his reputation, so sullied by the first two books and the Plamegate scandal.

5. It is quite simple - Woodward is a BushCo lackey
His previous work on Bush is nothing short of propaganda.

6. FUCK WOODWARD!
He's been carrying bush's water thru this whole thing. NOW he has something to report? A REAL journalist would have QUESTIONED the administration a few years back and tried to get the facts. Instead, he kissed their asses so he could get "exclusive" access and interviews.

Woodward helped both create AND destroy investigative journalism in his lifetime.
