Gasoline Prices: Supply and Demand, or Manipulation?
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 08:03 AM by JCMach1
I have posted two charts which offer a pretty accurate view of supply and pricing that seems to be fairly consistent. For example on the oil price chart, check the last time oil was this cheap per barrel... roughly march 2006. Now, check the price of gas for that period $2.20-2.30 per gallon. That's about where we are now.

There are two suspicious things to note though. Oil is spiking up again now? Will the gasoline price follow?

Also, notice an ominous pattern of lower gas prices going into the 2004 election. We are nearing four year lows on oil and gas again... which obviously happened in 2004-- http://www.heraldstandard.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=17254121&BRD=2280&PAG=461&dept_id=468387&rfi=6

2. Of course it is manipulation
Why else do you think we are giving the Iranians a grace period for nuclear talks exactly equal to the time remaining until U.S. mid-term elections?

Bush does not manipulate the physical quantity of petroleum, he does manipulate fear however.

They work together on this. Look at the stock market too. Record territory, trouble is the records are a minor percentage over that of Clinton's leaving office.
