Where DO we draw the line? Cannibalism?
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 07:22 AM by Philosoraptor
How low can humanity go? Once you've crossed over the torture Rubicon, there's no going back, it's too late to say you're sorry.

Now Democratic senators and congressmen are supporting bush's redefining of torture and democracy, how far will the human debasement go?

First I'm supposed to vote for candidates who voted for bush's war, now I'm supposed to vote for people who agree with bush about torturing people without fear of prosecution.

Can cannibalism be far behind?

Am I being a tad too dramatic this morning?

they had to decide on the dip to use when they ate the men. The right dip became a religious dogma conflict, and they had a religious war -I liked Bill Mahler in that one.

2. Yes you are...
You need to wait till they get there with the kool-aid before you post again..

I was just told I was a "danger to the greater good" for feeling the same way.

I guess I'll go sit in the driveway and wait.

11. I just wrote John McCain
doubt it will do any good... but no one will
hear us unless we all speak out.

-----

Dear Senator McCain -
If Republican logic holds true, then it was okay for
the North Vietnamese to torture you.. as they were only
defending their country and wanting to prevent further
bombings of their civilians. There is no difference at all.

It is abhorant that ANYONE in the United States condones
torture in any form. Certainly any politician who votes for
the current torture legislation will forever be branded as
an advocate of torture. And it is my sincere wish that every
politician who votes to approve torture is prosecuted for
war crimes... as they should. You know that sir.

Please do everything in your power to discourage and defeat
this out of control wave of fascist sadism that seems to have
gripped the executive and legislative branches of government
(hopefully the judicial branch will prevail with better sense).

Thank you for listening..... C_U_L8R

6. hey, whats wrong with that? just think of the opportunity!
all of those renditioned islamo-faschists could be gathered up, slaughtered and turned into food packets for the starving african tribes. We'd fix two problems in one torturous stroke.

How honorable is strenuous interrogation if it must be done in the dark recesses of hidden cells in secret places of a foreign country?

Even the evil are ashamed of it.

Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 07:33 AM by Divernan
The underlying lesson I've learned from the Bush years is that he and his crew of handlers have both a gut instinct and a finely honed ability to turn every single disaster, including the ones they directly cause, into a source of profit.

So if you're going to have a lot of dead bodies resulting from direct and indirect US foreign policies, there are profits to be made! For those who didn't see the film/read the book, Hannibal Lecter was a gourmet canibal who enjoyed his pound of flesh with "some fava beans and a fine chianti."

14. No, we can't draw the line at cannibalism because if we do that,
then we allow the enemy to adapt to our tactics.

You know, just like why the idiot in the White House said he won't rule out water boarding.........because in the words of John Stewart, he's afraid the enemy will grow fish gills, and adapt to being drown. :eyes:

nasty trend of becoming less dependent on oil, and then how could EXXON and other CEO's like this vile fuck make (steal) a ba-zillion dollars???????

Cannibalism in the name of survival has been practiced many times since the WWI, most notably during the seiges of Leningrad and Stalingrad.

But one must be careful not to overcook them. They look and chew like gummy babies instead of yummy babies.

I am glad we can joke about this, the alternative is to cry my ass off.
