"Special investigation: Leading up to 9/11Sept. 27:

Countdown rises to Bill Clinton's challenge, and assesses the record of George Bush€s effort against al-Qaida in his first eight months in office."

What do you think?

Did a well-timed anthrax scare by a wingnut wacko put Keith off his game?

and the New York Post needs to be blasted for their leaks and joviality about a terrorist act.

But it is just Faux/Murdoch. Who expected more?

6. I don't get it also. "off his game" ???
Olberman is the only commentator I have heard who is spelling out the neglect Bush exhibited by not even being briefed concerning the documented warnings provided by Clinton that an Al Queda attack on domestice targets was in the making. The fact that the information was presented and available to Bush, but ignored, explains how SWIFTLY the terrorists were identified. The information was there to be used after the fact. Why?

8. I didn't say it was a bad segment. I just wanted other people's opinions.
Did you watch the entire show on cable, or just this video clip?

Maybe I've been spoiled by recent unforgettable Countdowns, with high-profile guests, commentary worthy of Edward R. Murrow, and unrelenting focus on the failings of the "White House Press Corpse" under Dubya and company.

I thought tonight's show was good, especially the segment at the video link in th OP. But I also thought the interview with Paul Kurtz (Richard Clarke's deputy) didn't really make any news, that too much time was devoted to Dustin Dimond and other second-banana celebs, and that the show seemed to be sinking into more than half info-tainment.

4. Be sure to watch Olberman videos at his site.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677
Several videos are available in reference to the 9/11 air attacks on the Twin Towers.

Olberman is doing a great job in pointing out the fact that the Bush administration was worse than neglectful in not following up on the documented warnings that came from the Clinton administration that Al Queda was preparing to strike the US. Bush refused to consider even being briefed on the vital warnings that perhaps could have prevented the tragic attack of 9/11.
Bush was concentrating and more interested on furthering a missile defense system... and, of course, we know now that Iraq was on his mind, not Al Queda..... The documented warnings furnished by Clinton's administration stressed that Al Queda would attack domestic targets, not by invasion....of course. The warning were ignored and not followed up; our citizens paid the price for Bush's neglect and ignorance.

7. The latest information that has been revealed
regarding the 9/11 attacks is perhaps the most important exposure so far of the criminal incompetence of George W. Bush and should not become a 'comma' in the timeframe of events leading up to 9/11. It will be a tragedy if this revelation fails to hit the front page, and falls off into the ether. Bush should, by no means, get a pass for his failure to take action against Al Queda when the opportunity was there to try to stop a tragedy from happening.
Keith Olberman deserves a lot of credit for speaking out so forcefully against the foibles and corrupt incomptence of Bush and his handlers.
