:puke:
Thanks to Krispos in the MN forum. I hope this isn't a dupe here.

clip..
The Twin Cities will host the Republican National Convention in 2008, a state Republican source said this afternoon.
Republicans and DFLers both have been angling to host their parties' next national conventions, but Republicans locked up their commitment today.

The convention will run from Sept. 1-4.

Xcel is slated to host the main convention activity, although delegates are expected to be housed at hotels across the metro area.

The marquee attraction at the Republican convention will be the contest to see who replaces two-term President George W. Bush. Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Sen. Norm Coleman both have been mentioned nationally as potential, albeit longshot, presidential or vice presidential candidates.

pawlenty and hollow man=

2. They think they are turning it
I don't know how far the bribes will carry them.
Who knows though, the state has been faltering some.

3. And, don't forget, our current Secretary of State is a Bush tool
Hopefully, she'll be defeated this November. But, if she's not, we could be in real trouble. I keep hoping all the DFL candidates have set aside money to pay for recounts should they be needed.

4. Somehow our voting got missed by the Super Tabulator and Rove
Maybe I missed something, but besides coleman's shady takeover, the pukes have had a hard go here.
I forget her darn name, but didn't the state refuse the diebold fix?

oh geez, I remember seeing a diebold truck in St Cloud this summer and nearly flew the driver the bird. :freak:

5. Mary Kiffmeyer is the tool
I don't trust the vote though Kiffmeyer seems to be more into voter suppression.

However, in the Kennedy/Wetterling race 2 years ago in the 6th District someone who was monitoring the votes saw 7,000 votes post to the Green Party candidate (in that district, I don't think so) then those votes disappeared as mysteriously as they had appeared. The only advantage we have is that we use scanners so there are paper ballots.

6. Yeah Kiffmeyer.
I suppose the papers can be scanned again, or counted by hand. If skanned again, the tabulator could spit out the same result with Rove in his battleroom.

I don't trust much anymore either.

7. That was me!
:-)

I was watching the votes on the Secretary of State's site, and actually, it was 8,000 votes each that went to all the minor parties and mysteriously disappeared in a couple of hours. I still have the screen shot.

8. I thought it was you,
but I had a tinge of doubt (the memory isn't what it used to be) so I didn't name names.

11. You are missing the wonderful
opportunity this provides.

Republicans will come to your state. They will rent cars, book hotel rooms, eat, drink, be merry, spend all kinds of money.

And then they will leave.
