Posted in LBN-Bolton Pushes Succession to Kofi Annan
This was posted by JudiLyn in LBN but it is not getting much discussion. I am just wondering if this Ki-moon is related to Rev Moon. Anyone know. :tinfoilhat:

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.S. Ambassador John Bolton pushed on Wednesday for a quick resolution in the race to succeed Kofi Annan as U.N. secretary-general, an action that could favor the South Korean front-runner.

U.N. Security Council members on Thursday conduct another straw poll among seven declared candidates, which could show whether South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon retains the lead he held in two previous straw polls.

"We are at the point where we should make a decision," Bolton told reporters, adding that a new secretary-general, who would take office on January 1, needed a transition period.

3. He was an adviser to the South Korean President, who is a *real* liberal..
The South Korean President basically hates Bush. The President was a human-rights lawyer in South Korea, so he is cool.
