I Am Against Torture

§ I am against torture - period!

The United States of America is actually bringing to a vote in Congress, a bill allowing torture. This cannot stand.

I am fifty five years old, born in USA, served in the USA military and have two purple hearts. A person actually has to come out and stand in opposition to the government of USA passing laws in favor of torture. How in the world did it come to this?

How much longer before those who advocate torture, start banging the drums to bring back slavery?

§ I am an America loving American proudly wearing the honorable label of liberal. "What ever happened to the 'land of the free - home of the brave?"

Well, maybe you don't want to get into that--Not my business. Maybe a better question is this: Are you comfortable with the nitch you are in, and do you think you'll continue to serve this country in the military?

such as call/email your congresscritters (or the Maine senators)

Your statements against torture on DU mean zilch. Telling DU you are against torture will get you a couple of attaboys, but that's it.
