I'm glad my kids grew up before torture was considered cool.
But I hate to think that their kids, my grandkids, are growing up n a world where it is now considered no big deal to torture people to death.

I hope my kids teach my grandkids that torture is not good, but actually a terrible thing, that was not always acceptable. I hope they learn just enough history to know that America was once against torture, but people didn't go around saying 'I'm against torture' because it was just accepted, like saying, 'I'm against wife beating', there was no need for a president to stand before the nation and actually tell the lie that we don't torture.

1. a return to the dark ages. Torture was a way of life earlier.
and for a brief, glorious moment, humanity shined and rose above that crap.
Until bush and his radical religious supporters

3. have you stopped to think that all of these twisted values are the ones
that the bushes must have grown up with? how could they, for one minute, think torture, sadism, lying, manipulation, cockroaching in general is an okay thing, whether to win, or not. ole granny dorothy walker thought that winning was the name of the game--though they were taught to pretend not to want to win.

in the midst of all of this sadism, we seem to be poised to become a nation of masochists.
