Arkansas paper: "when Clinton isn't displaying purple-faced hostility"
Edited on Wed Sep-27-06 11:13 AM by ProSense

It is the label, stupid

Wednesday, Sep 27, 2006
By David Sanders

Many campaigns and candidates fall prey to a problem. It is somehow that every candidate must be like Bill Clinton or Newt Gingrich. The former president and former speaker of the House have been gifted with an incredible command of details.

At a moment's notice both could provide a verbal treatise on most matters of public policy. These days, when Clinton isn't displaying purple-faced hostility toward a respectable journalist, he also provides painstaking details to anyone who will listen about the real and growing problem of Aids in the Third World.

Likewise, Gingrich routinely and systematically lectures about the current state of health care in America. He relates the problems and moves to solutions that will shift the way the American people think about health care, from a mentality entitlement to ownership.

Snip...

What are their labels that work?

He or she says one thing and does another. This an important label to use on a candidate who has changed his or her position on a particular policy initiative. It implies untruthfulness on the part of the labeled. Remember John Kerry two years ago: I voted for the $87 billion before I
voted against it.

Not one bad word about Gingrich or any Republican.

2. Has Clinton spoken recently to a "respectable" journalist??
Imagine, displaying hostility towards a man who is paid to hate and lie and drag your name through the mud every chance he gets. Imagine.

5. Are there any respectable journalist left?
WIth the exception of maybe Keith Olberman, I don't hold much respect for any journalist today.

12. He Spoke To Keith
Ten minutes after speaking with Chris "My Father Is Sooo Ashamed I'm A Whore" Wallace. Didn't seem "purple-faced", though - first one who made that comparison was Drudge - who's too fucking stupid to know the definition of the word "purple" anyway. Saw the tape from several sources - the Big Dog never reached the "flushed" stage, let alone "purple."
Drudge should go back to his orginal job - sexually abusing small barnyard animals on webcam & leave reporting to people with more than a fourth grade education.

16. I think they have Clinton confused with Zell Miller
who was, indeed, purple-faced, but they loved it.

Maybe this asshole would like to hear from a few of us who think that HE's the STUPID one!

ON EDIT--let me share with you what I sent to the fucker. I used the "Biblical" approach (Bubba calls this kind of thing 'triangulating):

Chris Wallace is not a respectable journalist. He's a rightwing tool who doesn't honor his father as the Ten Commandments dictate. Here, read up on your 'respectable' friend: http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/12/11/100751.shtml

But thanks for letting us know where you shake out. Against honoring one's parents, against helping the sick and needy. Makes it easier to see you coming in future.

4. Yeah there are 5 articles or so about the interview up at Townhall
All variations on a theme - "Clinton finally blew his stack and showed us all how crazy he is" "Clinton is so full of himself he can't actually talk about his program to help people, he just wants to defend his "legacy."

6. David Sanders is a RW shill. Years ago, I wrote to him when he was
claiming that recognition of gay 'marriages' in Sweden had led to fewer heterosexual marriages or some such nonsense. He's always going on about the immoral liberals or abortion being the worst thing on the planet or how discriminated against the poor Christians are...

7. So when was Clinton "purple-faced"?
I mean, there are cameras rolling all over the place ... if Clinton "stormed out, purple-faced" as the RW media is pushing, Fox would have been distributing that video on Myspace.com BIG TIME ...

It's like the congresswoman who "assaulted a cop" in the capitol building ... no tape, no proof ... and I bet the tape would have exonerated her ...

10. I'vemade several comments about that interview so far.
When I read comments like...lost it, purple faced, enraged, crazy, etc, I keep asking...Have these people NEVER been yell at? Have they NEVER seen anyone really out of control, which is MY definition of loosing it and enraged? These comentators must live in a bubble somewhere! I realize I have afairly long working career, but if they really think that was an example of loosing it, I'd sure like to give them some examples of whatloosing it REALlY is LIKE!

8. Gingrich doesn't actually give a fuck about health care
he just looks for ways to push for more handouts to the insurance agencies.

11. Note to Sanders: ALL Congress votes for ONE version of a bill before they
vote AGAINST another version of the bill. Or vice versa.

Dumbass.

15. Oh, good grief...
why read anything David Sanders says--he's a Huckabee flunkee. Yes, he campaigned for Huckabee and worked on his staff. You can't possibly think he would have anything nice to say about Clinton. I can't stand the guy and quit reading anything he wrote after my blood pressure went up one day.
