That's what it is starting to become, to me. What kind of a segment of this society takes great quantities of resourses, does not add anything of true value to that society. One can argue these points. But my reason for posting this is that it is now a beast. A monster that adds nothing, and consumes everything. Culturally, environmentally, etc. Yes, they teach stuff. That's not my point.

My point is, it is too big.

It is run by huge corporations that must keep the machines rolling, or come to a stop. And stopping is not in the interest of the companies.

They don't pay taxes. They are getting a free ride. At your expense. You are working for them. And not the other way around. Fear is the only reason they exist.

They have used a billion gallons of fuel, just in Iraq. And it wasn't pump prices they paid. They don't even pay sales tax.

Is anyone interested in changing this so that we can have money for other things besides bombing the world to pieces? Can we just slow it down?

I suggest we make them pay for the same things we do. At the very least, taxes on purchases. And then actual gas prices.

I know, I'm nuts, and it'll never happen. I don't like the world we're making. And I see this as one last attempt to at least slow the beast down a little.
