3. What is the correct response
to the "Clinton was offered Osama on a silver platter" lie? I know this is not the true story, but a lot or RWers have bought into it. Anyone know the whole story behind this?

4. 2 part answer
1. We did not have good relations with Sudan or there govt at that time and had little reason to believe any offer was valid.
2. At best the Sudanese gov't offered to deport Bin Laden to Saudi Arabia and the Saudis refused since they'd revoked his citizenship and were more thana little concerned about his influence after becoming a hero in Afghanistan.

and exaggerated his role to the RW message machine who bought it hook, line and sinker.

The 9-11 commission had this part right. It never happened.

Clinton was never offered Bin Laden.
