Bush says "leaker" trying to "confuse" voters ...
so close to the next election. Huh?

Keeping a report "secret" that should not be secret and giving the voters information in direct contradiction to what is in the "leaked" information is not confusing the voters?? It was so predictable that this White House would pick and choose a few paragraphs from the NIE report and feed it to the sheeple. If these people are going to continue to tell us about all the "progress" made in Iraq, then should they not hesitate to give the people the intelligence justifying their present occupation. It is Mr Bush that is trying to "confuse" the voters.

1. Yet more 'cherry-picking'... eh?
Isn't that what led us to this 'martial law' moment in the first place?

4. Truth, that's what
confuses their message. We don't need to do much to make 'negative' ads, they have done enough themselves.

"The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent , for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extention, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the state." Dr. Joseph M. Goebbels, Hitler's propaganda minister

11. Sure kentuck
I have had it up on the computer screen, for years now. This administration is going straight from the playbook.

Also this one:

"Of course the people don't want war..that is understood. But voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." Hitler's designated successor, Hermann Goering

Truth, it's all we need, it's like throwing holy water on a vampire, it makes them sizzle.

7. Quit trying to confuse the facts, the facts are
we should be a one-party nation. And if govern-mental officials tell you Report X or Report Z says everything is going swimmingly in Iraq or WE are safer not safe then accept it and sit back and watch Survior...

8. The public was being had by both sides.
The original leak was cherry picked and put out there for political reasons as well as the information released yesterday. As with all intelligence it is never black and white, you will always have conflicting conclusions. Unfortunately, too many people tried to hang their hat on the original leaked info which really didn't amount to much. It wasn't something new.
