How depressing, we thought while watching the Daily Show
that a foreigner - Pakistan's Musharraf - speaks so much more eloquently than our own...

1. Musharraf sounds intelligent, thoughtful, and forthright.
He's clearly knowledgable of the facts and the grasps the intracacies of the situation.

*heavy sigh*

3. No world leader is as ignorant and uncouth as Booshe, none.
And yes, he does leave a stink after he has left.

6. He's a dictator
who threw out the elected government and rules because his coup succeeded.

Are we supposed to be impressed with how cultured and well-spoken he is?

Sorry - just another dictator to me.

8. Not an Islamic Radical
You do realize if Pakistan had free elections that it is extremely likely that the population would elect a Taliban supporting, fundamentalist government completely opposed to the United States, don't you? As dictators go he is benign. Certainly not worse than our own.

9. I highly doubt that.
Pakistan is very anti-Bush but it is nothing close to the radical fundie chanting in the streets image we're fed on TV.

11. Hmmmm. Interesting.
Musharraf is a military dictator, that's established. Bush speaks (often to the point of nausea) of spreading democracy in the middle east, liberating people and allowing them to vote. So why doesn't Bush want to liberate Pakistan from Musharraf instead of kissing his ass?

You don't have to answer that, just pointing out the bullshit.

10. Yes--a smarter & more knowledgeable dictator than Bush is
was my point.

And that's just SAD that we are stuck with Idiot Boy and even dictators are impressive in the breadth of their knowledge and ability to communicate effectively.

2. you need to meet more people from other countries
Nothing unusual about that.

I even know some eloquent people from other countries who *didn't* illegally seize control of their government back home.

4. Of course. But Bush, supposedly was speaking English
all his life.. did not have to learn it as a second language.. did not have to learn how to express himself in English.

5. Yep. After the show I said
"why do all the other countries get a President who actually has a BRAIN?"

7. Maybe we can dream
that there's a general somewhere in America who can kick out our next elected president and rule by coup. Wouldn't that be dreamy.
