Bush visit draws few spectators outside hotel
Tuesday, Sep 26, 2006

UTICA – A small number of people stood outside the Hotel Utica today looking for a glimpse of first lady Laura Bush.

Jack Leach of Utica, a Republican and Bush supporter, was one of three people standing on Seneca and Lafayette streets, across from the hotel.

“I’m looking for a helicopter overhead,” he joked. Leach was also here for the July visit by Vice President Dick Cheney, also part of a fundraiser for Congressional candidate Raymond Meier.

2. They got a pretty good sized crowd at theFlorentine when Hil campaigned
there in 2000.

Cafe Caruso is too small to handle the crowds.

3. I saw it on the local news
I'll bet there were only 50 people there,if that. Looked more like a FReeptard "rally" than a campaign rally with the "first lady". I was surprised at the small gathering, since she is so "popular" and all. :eyes:
