2. I've often wondered whether the outcome might have been different
if Clinton had been able to campaign actively.

4. Nonsense.
Clinton always tried his best to remain a statesman as Presidents usually do.

But even he had enough of the personal and professional attacks on him.

I don't think his physical condition slowed him down one bit.

7. I really don't think it would have mattered.
If you remember, Gore tried to stay away from Clinton during the Campaign. I still think it was a mistake, but I also remember, Monica was a very strong image in a LOT of people's minds. There are still a lot of people who bring that subject up, but a lot more who now realize that although BC had his faults, they didn't ever think anyone could be THIS MUCH WORSE!

then he had to have surgery and it was touch and go for a while

had he not been sick, I think he would have been more vocal and active for Kerry

10. He did make campaign appearance with Kerry before he went for
heart surgery. I think I remember him with Kerry in Albuquerque NM.

12. Suckin' Air
He was helpin' Hill to suck the air out of the room to lay the way for her run in '08. If Keryy had won, Hill wouldn't be able to run until '12.
