8. Another silly question from CNN
I pass.

Those aren't mutally exclusive propositions.

Getting the truth out hurts Bush. It hurts Republicans. They have lied to us, over and over and over.

And the Democrats will gain by telling the truth.

I do not know, nor do I care, which of those motivated the leaker more.

Now, to our Democratic Congresscritters who have been so spinless for five years: Which of you is going to play the part of Mike Gravel and read the rest of that report into the Congressional Record?

17. I was thinking along those lines
Edited on Tue Sep-26-06 07:05 PM by OnionPatch
They made it sound like those two things would be either/or. I think it's probably both. I see no reason for any shame if the motivation was partly political. The truth is that Republican governing is harming our country and the political arena is the place where the citizens of a democracy solve bad government problems.

20. the report came out in April but it was "classified"
as of Sunday, Bill Frist said that he still had not read it because of its classified status,
much of the congressional oversight is gone due to "classified" status, the congress has
no way to perform oversight; the only way things get out are to be leaked.

• Bush angry at leak .................isnt he always angry when he leaks??

He is hiding something if he is angry at anything that comes out, because it says what
his administration is not doing.

13. Still behind
K&R

Actually why cannot both be true? The people have the right to know so that they can make informed political judgements inthe voting booth.

Both are legitimate and not mutually exclusive.

15. Actually, it goes hand-in-hand.
Only the Dems believe the public has a right to know. When the people know the truth, they choose Dems.

Only a fool wants to be kept in the dark when the path may lead to the edge of a cliff.
