Bye bye Santorum
I am from PA and looking forward to pinhead Santorum's concession speach. A new poll shows Casey in up by 14.

16. Looking over your shoulder 20 yards from the endzone is an error.
There's no reason to EVER relax!

If the margin is 5 points, go for 10!
If the margin is 10 points, go for 15!
If the margin is 15 points, go for 20!
If the margin is 20 points, go for 25!
If the margin is 25 points, go for 30!

The stupidest damned thing liberals do is relent ... thinking that there some virtue in not crushing a cancerous tumor on the body politic. Nonsense.

3. Diebold isn't that much of a factor in Pennsylvania
First, the Secretary of State is a democrat and there are still regions using non-diebold machines. In fact there was a 4-county region in western PA that had their machines decertified because of election issues.

That doesn't mean this will be a blow-out and there won't be any problems. Probably one of the things you can expect is for Santorum to send their goons to all the urban areas of Pennsylvania in hopes to harass voters and get to give up their vote. Michael Moore tracked voter harassment for the 2004 election and the county reporting the most problems - Allegheny county in Pennsylvania (ie - Pittsburgh)

9. Gov. Rendell and his SOS are big touch screen fans...
There will be no Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) by ORDER of the SOS. Machines that routinely have such trails actually had to turn them off in order to be certified.

5. We always win PA in presidential elections, so I'm not worried
about Diebold there. Now in Ohio, that's another story.

7. Fraud with the touch-screen electronic voting machines may occur.
My understanding has been that the vast majority of Pennsylvania's 67 counties will vote on electronic touch-screen machines which will produce no paper trails. The minority of the counties will use "fill-in-the-oval" ballots which will be electronically scanned. The official Pennsylvania website features a color-coded map indicating how each of Pennsylvania's 67 counties will vote. The map can be found at www.dos.state.pa.us/voting/cwp/view.asp?a=1218&Q=446365.

The breakdown of the use of the eight various certified machines among the 67 counties is as follows:

Diebold TSX ........... 16 counties
Danahar 1242 .......... 6 counties
Sequoia Edge .......... 1 county
Hart InterCivic ......... 4 counties
Seqoia Advantage .... 1 county
ES&S Votronic ........ 26 counties
ES&S Automark ....... 10 counties
WINVote ................. 3 counties

I have been dismayed that the Pennsylvania official in charge of certifying voting machines for the various Pennsylvania counties did not certify any machines which would have produced paper trails. Defenders of that official argue that HAVA left him no choice; however, it seems to me that other states have managed to obtain certification of paper-trail-producing touch-screen voting machines. I fear that, in the upcoming Pennsylvania election, there may be instances of software chicanery which will cause some of the touch-screen electronic voting machines to yield fraudulent counts which will never be detected.

4. Good news
Santorum and Allen are two guys that really have to go. Ignorant, divisive and reactionary.

Still, I have been disappointed before and won't pop the bubbly until the election is certified for Casey.

10. 14 points is beyond Diebolding
There is no way anybody will believe in the authenticity of a Santorum victory in an enviroment of unauditable voting machines and a 14-point deficit.
