There's a SECOND NIE report that Bush is hiding.
From Josh Marshall at talkingpointsmemo.com:

(September 26, 2006 -- 01:15 PM EST // link)

Let's review what we know.

This morning at TPM we got word that in addition to the already reported April Iraq/Terrorism NIE, there was another NIE exclusively on Iraq.

We talked to various Hill sources who confirmed its existence. And then Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA), ranking member of the House intel committee discussed the report and called for its release at an event at the National Press Club.

Only there was another wrinkle to the sources. Hill sources tell TPMmuckraker that the administration has been sitting on the report, trying to prevent its dissemination before the election, presumably. And it turns out, from what we've heard, that this NIE actually hasn't been given the official "NIE" label because doing that would have required sharing it with various members of Congress.

The President has already said he's releasing "parts" of the April NIE -- which likely means it'll cleansed of all the important details. But both should be released. The April NIE and this NIE that dare not speak its name too.

1. The bush** admin is hiding boatloads of information and
reports from the public. Have you ever seen the pictures of Abu Graib that the court told them to release? Hell no. (You know, the ones that the ACLU fought for).

We don't know the half, third, fourth, or fiftieth of the shit they're hiding.

3. And cheney's energy task force
isn't it grand that they can declassify classified information if they think it will make a member of the republican party look good, and for that reason only. Wow, with little aforethought, this patriot would contend that that is a criminal act. No doubt, bush's base would question my patriotism. Trained monkeys from coast to coast attempting to destroy our country with their ignorance, a recipe for failure.

2. So many reports, so few shredders
but bush can take solace in knowing that his ignorant, religiously insane base which relishes the deaths of our kids and "ragheads" in Iraq love him dearly. And even that bunch of lunatics is getting smaller on a daily basis.

So many reports...

Good one Chief!

I want to know what they sent the FBI out to Scoop Jackson's archives to get. That paper had been buried a long time and they're worried about it. That indicates that this plot is deep and long lived.

7. Hopefully, a public servant with a conscience will leak it to a reporter.
