<snip>

It'll be interesting if any conservative ranters wonder aloud whether Nicolle Wallace will provide unfair "conservative media bias." The same folks were hot to jump all over former Clinton communications director George Stephanopoulos after he joined ABC in 1997 as a political analyst -- even when the praise came from ABC News' Diane Sawyer, a one-time Nixon and Ford staffer!

Something tells me the conservative ranters will look the other way with Wallace.

3. Edward R. Murrow must be rolling in his grave
Cronkite must be shitting steel pellets...and Rather is surely disgusted.

As far as the rightwingnuts go, they'll look at Miz Wallace as a "centrist" because to do anything else will cause unbearable cognitive dissonance.

7. At this rate of disinformation and infotainment

Morrow must be at some phenomenal spin rate...

We could solve the energy crises if only we could attach a dynamo to his casket.

6. I had no idea how bad CBS had become
I switched to ABC when Miss Perky took over, and the difference is unmistakable. One night last week, I had the misfortune of catching LaCouric's intro. It went something like, "Hugo Chavez got up at the UN today and insulted the President of the United States. She was shocked, I tell you, shocked! that anyone would do such a thing.

Gibson on ABC did the same piece something like, "Hugo Chavez delivered a blistering criticism of President Bush, and the audience loved it." The followed that with Chavez saying he could still smell the sulphur and general laughter.

9. ABC is on my shit list, due to that 911 disney joke of mockumentary
I stick with MSNBC, and NBC and my cable news channel for my local news. But I take it all with a handful of salt...!

I've given up on CBS. It's gone to the sheep....it's BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaad!!!!

11. The last time I watched NBC...
I thought I'd tuned to Fox by mistake. I don't get my news from the networks, but I like to know what's going out to the public as "mainstream."

The ABC News was more negative than positive about Path to 9/11. That was a pleasant surprise.

8. It is no longer the network of Murrow, Cronkite and Rather
not even of Mike Wallace and, in the near future, no doubt, that of Lesley Stahl and Ed Bardley.

We don't even watch "60 Minutes" any more... having a game before that helps, too.
