to straight out voter fraud. Crimes like voter roll cleansing, faked signatures to get candidates on ballots, misuse of campaign funds, misleading ads and voter inimidation/suppression should be subject to tougher sentencing. If the fear of doing serious time existed, occurences if election crimes would diminish drastically As it is, it's sickening how a slap on the wrist and a fine is often the only penalty. I really hope Dems can take Congress and make this a reality. The future of our ailing democracy depends on it.

1. Absolutely...I have been saying this for awhile...
The Dems need to make this one of their goals to implement enhanced comprehensive voting laws and I think the violations should be "Felonies". Serious jail time...

2. It wouldn't piss me off any more if someone stole my wife as it
does when they steal my vote! I say zero tolerance for election thieves and at least 10 years hard labor, without mercy.

3. I agree that we need to crack down
but Mandatory sentencing is wrong - it's wrong when applied to drug crimes and it woudl be wrong when applied to these crimes. We should trust judges and juries to give appropriate sentances.

Also not all of these activities are punishable I should think - certainly the faked GOP blog comments (not posts) barely rises to the level of a prank.

5. Nah.
It's just part of the anonymous internet. It's a game finding them. We've got plenty here. Just keep a list when you find one.
