1. After the hack job Imus did on Kerry...
For Kerry to be back on Imus, then I wonder if Kerry is bright enough to be president????

The man is a rat. Burnt out in the mind by dope like Bush and Rush. All that's left in their heads is greed and hate!

20. Why on earth does Kerry give this guy face time?
Doesn't his support team know that Imus is a lying two faced republican asshat?

26. Because Imus attacks those who DON'T come on worse
and because he does allow Kerry to speak pretty much unfiltered. Read the transcript when you get a chance - Kerry's comments on Iraq, Afghanistan, Bill Clinton, and torture are as complete and uninterrupted as he could get anywhere - including AAR. Remember we just had threads hundreds of posts long praising Clinton for going on FOX. Imus was actually quite nice to the Senator, who he respects or likes on some level.

The only thing he said when Kerry was gone was that he should have asked Kerry why he didn't "drop a hammer on the Clintons" by criticising Clinton's FOX appearance. This was not back biting as much as really stupid - Kerry addressed the history, side stepping the Republican attempt to generate controversy very nicely.

24. Get the transcript - he did a fantastic job on the show
- He gave a very clear defense of what Bill Clinton did against Al Quaeda vs Bush, refusing to take Imus up and agree on "clinton's outburst"

- He brought up the concerns of the NYT and WP that the compromise on torture may not be good.

- He made a very good case for his Iraq proposal - which is important to get out in NJ (where Imus is on the radio and this is drive time) to help Menendez.

- He made the same straight forward comments on Afghanistan he has before.

- His answer to running is the same as it's been for a year.

3. Sigh...there will be a bazzillion announcements approximately one week
Edited on Tue Sep-26-06 06:37 AM by mtnester
after the elections for many of the Dem candidates. One week rest and celebration, then on to 2008!

I will personally pee my pants in joy if I ever see a post that says

"Live on Imus - Gore announces he will run with Wesley Clark as his VP."

Lord hear my prayer.

about 06 and that he would decide later. Same thing for Edwards and co.

14. I hope he thinks better of running when the time comes.
When Kerry ran I was his biggest fan. Sent money, went to rallies, distributed buttons, bumper stickers and displayed yard signs that were burned to the ground by a passerby. However, he did not count the vote in Ohio. I am sorry, if you lived through Ohio you would not want Kerry to run again. You cannot trust that he will count your vote! We need fresh blood not related to the Bush cartel to get the job done! Peace, Kim

Hahahahahaha! That's a good one. Posted, once again, without the facts. I thought only Republicans did drive-bys like that. Guess not.

25. You missed the point!
It's about counting the vote! Kerry has been working for the good. We need the job done. We need change and I can not trust him to count the vote. It is that simple. I knew when I put my two cents worth in I would get this response but ya know, I have a right to say it. Gotta go, the 'first lady' is in town today and I have organized a peace vigil. Will post pictures when I get them. Peace, Kim

23. exactly
Kerry's campaign was about the most unprepared campaign ever. It was as if they never dreamed that rightwingers would possibly attack Democrats or something.

not to attack the Democrats who are speaking out.

22. I'm so excited- not
Kerry was a better man before he ever ran for President. He never took the reins. He beat dubby every which way in the debates and didn't make a big deal out of it. He left the swiftboaters take him to the woodshed with barely a peep and then failed to check out the voting machines.
He essentially let bush have the job.
Now for the Imus boys- these disgusting fools really tore up Clinton, when in my mind it was Wallace who was the asshole. That Bernard thought that Wallace should have punched the big dawg, when it was the other way around. The big dawg should have wiped the smirk off that punk phony reporter!
:argh:

28. Best thread on DU - a non story about a non story.
Edited on Tue Sep-26-06 07:55 AM by Mass
the same who do not like Kerry are continuing to slam Kerry without any clue on what he has really said.

Nothing new on DU, as far as I can see.
