...Pat, do you have any clue as to how many of these 12 million "Illegal Aliens" are illegal because the Republican Congress has de-funded the I.N.S. and the "Department of..." whatever they are calling it now, so much so that, the time it takes to renew the Visas of these "Resident Aliens" and people here on Student and Work Visas, that they become "Illegal Aliens"!?!

Wouldn't it be better to use that money that you want to spend on an incomplete border fence to HIRE AMERICANS to process the back log of INS paperwork?

I used an online price calculator, a few months ago, to calculate the cost for just a 20.47 mile long 6 foot high, chain link fence, and came up with an approximate price.

For just a 20.47 mile 6 foot high Chain link fence is $648,364.12

Expand that out to 2000 miles and it cost more than $63.5 Million Dollars ($63,539,683.76) for Material ONLY!

Now double that to put up 2 fences, and you have a cost of over $127 Million Dollars ($127,079,367.52)! For just standard, 6 foot high Chain link fence!

I suspect for two 12 foot fences, it would be about 4x that, so you have fence that cost over 1/2 a Billion Dollars ($508,317,470.08), and that doesn't even include the Barbed-wire for the top or the labor, or the cost of the road in between, or the Bridges that that road would need...

This is just another gift to more Mega-corps.
