If we're lucky this will signal a shift in the debate -- it sure seems like the buzz about this is not entirely under the control of the Right Wing spin machine, although, they're sure trying!

Chris Wallace still had that smirk this morning on Fox News while "reporting" about what Clinton said "after the mikes were off" (of course we have only Chris's word for what was said). I have this vision, of him still smirking because he knows he will just do what they always do, continue the spin until it appears that they have won -- because once the perception is ingrained with the public, then of course they *have* won. Only this time, it will become belatedly obvious even to Chris, that the technique that always worked before will simply not work anymore.

Well, one can hope.

Caught a minute or two at lunch, and he was quoting from a New Republic Article written by a guy who was quoting a one-on-one conversation that Dick Morris had with Clinton. Funny, Morris spoke to the right-wing hack in December of 2001, and specifically remembered that Clinton did not care about terrorism (according to Dick Morris, this was a conversation just between him and Clinton, with no one else present...how convenient). Limpballs was using it as proof, proof I tell you, that Clinton didn't care about OBL.

Now, is it the height of desperation to be quoting an article, that is quoting a source, that has no witnesses, about what was supposedly said in a private conversation 5 years before? Or, is it desperation that said story would pass for journalism.
