Guess who said the following this morning?
"...that whole Lewinsky thing, although it was horrible what the Republicans did to Clinton, I think that what it did was it diverted 1500 FBI agents from the pursuit of terror to the pursuit of Monica Lewinsky...I think it was a dark chapter in American history, and I think we would have gotten Osama perhaps, if it wasn't for Monica Lewinsky."

If you dont' know, it's Geraldo Rivera, on a New York Fox affiliate morning show. Which leads one to wonder, is he going to lose another job?

12. The quote didn't sound like he was blaming HER -
it sounded like he was putting blame where it belonged - on the repubs who were on a witch hunt against Clinton.

I remember very well watching Geraldo during the Lewinsky scandal. He was solidly against the Republicans for what they were doing.

13. Yes he was a Clinton defender back then...
He turned to the dark side after 9-11.

But even though he defended Clinton, his show was non-stop Monica. He was part of the herd of media who ignored everything else that was going on in the world for over a year, while endlessly dissecting whether oral sex is sex or not....Which is the journalistic equivalent of distracting the FBI diuring those years.

3. How many of the manhours were spent on Whitewater?
How many dollars? Monica was the only thing the GOP gould pin on Clinton and it had nothing to do with the real GOP powered Whitewater "Investigation."

4. "nobody could have anticipated that a BJ would bring the govt
to a standstill, wasting millions of dollars for the most expensive piece of porn (the starr report) ever produced."

5. It wasn't "because of Monica Lewinsky"
that Clinton and Co. didn't catch Bin Laden. It was the repub congress and their preoccupation with Monica Lewinsky. And they spent $100,000,000 of our money to find out...nothing. Get it right Geraldo.

8. I have alway wondered if ANY other president had had that money spent on
investigating them, how clean would their record be. That ALL they could find out about CLinton - after spending that huge amount of money - was that he fibbed about having sex outside of his marriage. Shows how clean and honest he was ON EVERYTHING ELSE!!!

9. ... because it was definitely more important to know if Clinton got a
blow job then to try to protect the country from a terrorist attack.

11. The Hunting of a President
All they cared about was bringing Clinton down... They did not want to hunt terrorist, they wanted to hunt Clinton and they did, and found absolutely nothing, while in the meantime, terrorist organizations were growing....

14.  I think it was Newt Gingrinch (not a typo) who
said publicly about Clinton, "We'll just keep throwing stuff at him until something sticks"
