Clinton knows 9/11 happened for same reason Katrina response was
so appalling on the Federal level:

The Bush Administration wasn't paying attention, didn't care, was inept, didn't understand what they were supposed to do, were clueless. Any or all of the above.

And it pisses Clinton off to no end, rightfully so.

1. When jr is out of office, it will be interesting to see what Bill & now
cautious historians have to say about chimp's performance.

4. It pisses me off to, Bush let the people in orleans die, but if it was
Martha's Vineyard or kennebunktport, it simply would never have happened. Bush allowed those people to die, Many Wal-Mart trucks filled with water were turned away by Fema.

5. We know Dick had no time for terrorists.
He was too busy working the hostile takeover details of the Iraq National Oil acquisition. George? Not much to do....so he spent 40%+ of his time on vacation before 9/11.

6. you're right, but there was also an element of intention in both . . .
9/11 and the Katrina response . . . in both cases, BushCo intentionally held back the resources that were needed in order to advance their warped (and now failed) PNAC agenda . . .

whether more than intentional negligence was involved on (and prior to) 9/11 is still an open question . . .

12. Intentional negligence is good enough for me.
As David Kubiak so colorfully put it:

" LIHOP was treason, MIHOP was treason, so we really didn't care if we
hung the bastards with a six or twelve foot rope as long as all the
relevant feet twitched in the air."

http://911conspiracy.blogspot.com/2005/09/david-kubiak-responds-to-nico-haupt.html

Of course I'd prefer non-capital punishment. Like setting them up in the jungles
of Surinam or somewhere where they can weave loanclothes out of plantain leaves and
till the soil with treetrunks, and show that resourceful Republican spirit and pull
themselves up by their bootstraps. A treehouse resort could be built like the baboon
camps in Africa, where tourists could walk on catwalks above it all and photograph
Rove and Condi down there hoeing the sweet potatoes.

7. President Clinton did something about terrorism after he came to power.
He fixed FEMA too! Both GHWB and his idiot son failed miserably where President Clinton shined! The Big Dog had to fix jr's daddy's screw ups! I think it takes a lot to piss off the Big Dog and #43 and his lap dog media rises to the occassion!

8. And the fact that the Bush gang did benefit from both
is coincidence?

They got the new Pearl Harbor they figured they'd need to start their endless wars for global domination.
No-bid reconstruction contracts for his corporate buddies.
Terrorize US citizens and take away their freedoms, enabling ever more authoritarian control over the population.

Ok so his ratings dropped and almost everyone thinks Bush is the worst president ever - but it doesn't seem to matter much, does it? After all, it just continues.

The Incompetence Theory presumes that Bush is actually trying to do what's best for people. But there are many indications that he isn't trying to do what's best for people. Just look at who's getting richer and look at who's becoming more miserable. Is the torture and related immunity legislation also due to incompetence?

13. Those who question what Bush gained from Katrina should
consider that whatever is bad for the Port of New Orleans is good
for the Port of Houston.

With proper neglect of the reconstruction the barge traffic on the
Mississippi can be shifted to truck traffic on the new NAFTA highway,
which will of course consume more fuel than barge traffic does.

9. Clark: 911 was preventable, it was dereliction of duty, Iraq was the cover
up for that fact.
yeah, they know. We know. So, then why s 911 still touted as W's "accomplishment"?
