"When Dems were in power it was bad, but nothing like the Repugs have done
Poll participant George Sentell, 81, who said he has voted Republican for more than 50 years, is one of the GOP faithful who has crossed over to the Democrats.

"In all these years, I’ve tried to be a moderate Republican and I’ve had a harder and harder time doing that," He said Blackwell’s advocacy of tax cuts won’t fix Ohio’s dismal ranking in so many categories, especially education.

"I think he’s pretty far out in some things," Sentell said.

Joyce Detunno is an example of respondents who back all Democrats for administrative offices,

"I’m sick of the Republican Party. What a bunch of crooks," remarked the 65-year-old North Sider, who said she has voted mostly for GOP candidates in recent elections. "When the Democrats were in power it was bad, but nothing like the Republicans have done.

And no one or one party should have that.

3. When Dems were in power, most of the world respected the USA.
We had a budget surplus, people had jobs, people could afford health care insurance, people could afford to put gas in their cars, our kids had after school programs to attend, our kids had actual SCHOOLS to go to instead of prefab rooms put in parking lots, MORE people were lifted out of poverty, fewer teen preganacies, a cleaner environment, job security...

that list is endless. Is there any doubt repukes are bad for this country? I'm glad people are waking the hell up.

5. Long recovery is right...it will take generations
to undo all the damage they've done.

7. The Elderly And GOP Vote Suppression
I suspect that one of the other reasons that today's GOP is trying to suppress the elderly's votes is because the elderly remember what it was like before the Great Society as well as remember what it was like when the GOP still had at least a partial streak of sanity--unlike nowadays.

8. I was going to say the Republican Party has been taken over
by NeoCONS but then,Republicans have gone right along with them on every issue, rubber stamping anything and EVERY thing this NeoCON Admin and (p)Resident wants so...Yeah.I think honest and decent Republicans should definitely be rethinking their party loyalty at this point.
