Bush the buffoooooon doesn't know what an asterisk is.
"Just like a comma." What an rePUKE retard.

BUSH: Yes, you see — you see it on TV, and that's the power of an enemy that is willing to kill innocent people. But there's also an unbelievable will and resiliency by the Iraqi people…. Admittedly, it seems like a decade ago. I like to tell people when the final history is written on Iraq, it will look like just a comma because there is — my point is, there's a strong will for democracy.

1. Not one coherent thought
It is simply amazing that the United States of America has a President who can not assemble a sentence that conveys a coherent thought.

2. I think Bush means that all the death and destruction...

...in Iraq now is something we'll shrug off in the future (after Iraq is a democracy) as insignificant as pausing for a comma in a sentence.

The problem is that even if Iraq is a democracy ten years from now, it may have become a democracy by 2016 without a US invasion and all the bloodshed that has brought.

5. Here's what I think he meant...
Maybe what he was reaching for was that it would be an afterthought. But he thought he was looking for asterisk, not afterthought, but he couldn't think of the word so he used comma instead.

6. Death and destruction of Iraq and American Troops will be clause in a
sentence, set off by commas, from the main point which will be his stature as the liberator of the MidEast.

8. It's pronounced "karma", George.
When we look back on this whole episode in the years to come, everything since will look like karma. Not comma.

9. Why do you think it's supposed to be 'asterisk'?
Reading it as a brief pause, a brief interruption, makes more sense. 'Comma' in the meaning 'caesura'. Not that I expect * to know what a caesura is.

Forward march of history and all that sort of drivel.

Running as a remote second interpretation is 'comma' as 'interpolated passage': The Johannine Comma introduces a very nice religious motif.

I assume you're thinking that a brief interlude would be marked by an asterisk and short footnote. (I prefer numbers and endnotes.)

12. WTF?
:wtf: As usual, he makes no sense. :banghead: :wtf: was he trying too say there? See what on tv and how is that related too the power of an enemy that is willing to kill innocent people? He's brain dead! And what seems like a decade ago? Does he just say whatever incoherent thought pops into his head? I wonder if he ever really listens to what comes out of his mouth?

From a Rhodes Scholar to a Village IDIOT! How embarrassing!

when the final history is written on Iraq, the world will know that George W. Bush is an imbecile and everything that he did while acting as president turned to shit right in his hand. The rest of the bushgang will go down in history as the worst group of criminals the USA ever had to suffer through.
