How many are permanently scared to the right?
I know the polls go right by manipulation, but how many stay there. Dennis Miller comes to mind.

1. America is permanently scared and permanently scarred
by these assholes.

It will take a lot of ACTUAL "hard work" to fix this mess.

2. The Republican base is hopeless.
Roughly a third of voting Americans will support anything and everything the Repubs and Fox News tell them, no questions asked. Mindless idiots, all of them.

3. My guess is about 5% had a permanent terror induced lobotomy.
Given the polarization of politics that is a huge number. Consider (ignoring fraud) the shift in popular vote Bush/Gore vs Bush/Kerry. The Iraq war was already exposed as total bullshit and a complete disaster during the campaign and yet Bush outpolled Kerry. I think that it is likely that the lost ones will stay lost until there is a crackup on the order of '29.

5. None.
Those that support them out of fear do so out of temporary ignorance and brainwashing.

Those that support them blindly and permanently do so not out of fear, but out of an ignorant sports-like mentality that warrants rooting for your team with all your heart even when they totally suck.

6. Dennis Miller? Scared?
I would say he saw $$$$'s on the Right the same as Ron Silver.

7. Once you accept that this "age of terror" began with a fraud, the fear
Edited on Sun Sep-24-06 10:56 PM by No Exit
goes away.

Once you realize that there are way too many unanswered questions about 9/11, the fear goes away. Something happened that day, but it didn't happen from the causes that THEY (the smirking chimp and his mighty Wurlitzer paid media) say it happened from.

Once you realize that, suddenly you begin to look at, for example, the latest "Osama tape" with a very critical eye. How do we really KNOW that these tapes are for real? The answer: we don't. Therefore, assertions that they are not real--and there are many such assertions, backed up by intelligent people--are as entitled to consideration as are the administration's claims that they ARE real.

I was just reading today how, in fact, the U.S. warned various countries that it would be invading Afghanistan. These warnings were given in JUNE and JULY of 2001. One of the sources for this article was the BBC.

Now, how the hell is it that we plan to invade Afghanistan, and by the happiest of coincidences, it just HAPPENS that a huge atrocity suddenly takes place, and, wonder of wonders, we find out that the persons in charge of the Afghan government (the Taliban) just HAPPEN to be the ones "hiding" the perpetrator of the atrocity?

And look how most or all of the subsequent terror scares--such as the shoeless warehouse guys in Florida, or even the "gel" scare--turn out to be bullshit.

Once you realize these things, you lose the fear. The world has not changed. It is the same as it was before 9/11. All previous rules still apply. John Kerry was never more accurate than when he said that "terrorism" is a POLICE problem--not a military problem.
