Need some advice........

Wife and I are taking our 6th and final trip to Europe this coming March (to celebrate her 60th Birthday) and I need some advice.....

My bad back won't take 9 1/2 hours squeezed into Economy, so we are
flying Business Class. The most likely choices from Houston
to Rome are Delta, Continental (which we both love), Air France (which my wife loves), British Airways, and Air Italia.

I know an awful lot of DUer's travel to Europe and so I am hoping to
get some first hand guidance on which airline has the best Business
Class. Cost so far have ranged from $6,000 (total for 2, round trip) on Air Italia, to $10,000 on Continental. I would pay the whole ten grand if I knew I would receive superior service, but we've always flown Economy in the past, so I have no way to compare, except you guys, here.

1. Not first-hand, but maybe someone else will come along who has

flown Business Class to Europe; I haven't done it.

In the meantime, My instincts are always to fly with the carrier of the destination country, and that's served me pretty well to date. OTOH, Business Traveler Magazine's latest survey shows that British Airways is held to have the best Business Class service overall, while Virgin Airways (*which I've always enjoyed*) has the Best Premium Economy Class Service (whatever the hell Premium Economy means). Lufthansa has the Best Business Class Service to Europe.
