Tuesday I get to meet John Edwards!!!!!!!

I'm going to a fundraiser for Andrew Hurst who worked on the Edwards for President campaign. My ticket was purchased by someone else who couldn't go, so it was given to me because of my work on the campaign. Is that not cool?

I guess you get lucky with these things sometimes. Although there is also one the same day down in Fredericksburg, VA for Jim Webb. (I don't think I'll go to that one, although I could be presuaded.)

I thought what I would tell him is what a wonderful post his wife made after the election here and how all the people on DU were so moved by it. Don't you think that would be nice? I'll also inquire about his wife. She wrote so beautifully here.

I volunteered to greet him at the union hall in Janesville in 2004. I will try to post the pic sometime.

8. I was at a Minnesota DFL rally today and John Edwards was there.

Other speakers included MN Congressman Jim Oberstar, WI Congressman Dave Obey, Amy Klobuchar (running for U.S. Senate), Mike Hatch (running for MN Governor) couldn't attend, but Judi Drutcher his choice for Lieutenant Governor was there. Also, MN State Senator Becky Lourey (who lost in the Primary to Mike Hatch), spoke on his behalf. There were a few local DFL endorsed candidates that spoke also.

John Edwards is awesome, he is such a great speaker. At the end of the rally he walked through the crowd signing autographs for about fifteen minutes. I shook his hand and told him that "it was an honor to meet him." I have been in a great mood all day.

So, to answer your question, "Is that not cool?" Yes, it is way cool. Have a great time....
