1. The last time
Frist threatened to go nuclear, I wrote him a letter and cc'd my Senators, reminding Frist that my Senators are not just his co-workers, but that they work to represent ME, a tax paying, voting American, and that I gave them my full consent to filibuster and fully expected them to do so, and I told him not to try to silence the voices of Americans again.

Asshole just sent me back a paper letter about all his "accomplishments" in the Senate. What an idiot.

Anyway, maybe my letter wasn't much, but it made me feel better. :)

2. Bring it on!
Let them go nuclear. The Democrats will win big politically by such an obvious RADICAL Republican violation of tradition.

The Democrats also must follow through on their pledge to stop ALL non-critical Senate business if the Repugs use this underhanded tactic.

7. Agreed. A filibuster must be followed by "meticulous adherence to
rules" until historic rules are restored.

4. Nuclear option? Are they so very sure they will be the majority in Nov?
I wonder if they dare.

Threaten, yes.
Bluster, yes.

Exercise, I dont think so.
Unless they've got a rock-solid lock on the voting machines (possible), I think they do not dare.

6. If they do go nuclear, wouldn't they then be able to change it back?
All they would need is a simple majority to change it back before Nov..
