Bin Laden died in Pakistan? How come we haven't heard this?
Edited on Sat Sep-23-06 03:31 AM by Philosoraptor
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14963302/

PARIS - A French regional newspaper quoted a French secret service report on Saturday as saying that Saudi Arabia is convinced that al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden died of typhoid in Pakistan last month.

“According to a usually reliable source, the Saudi services are now convinced that Osama bin Laden is dead,” the document said.

“The information gathered by the Saudis indicates that the head of al-Qaida was a victim while he was in Pakistan on Aug. 23, 2006, of a very serious case of typhoid which led to a partial paralysis of his internal organs.”

The report, which was stamped with a “confidential defense” label and the initials of the French secret service, said Saudi Arabia first heard the information on Sept. 4 and that it was waiting for more details before making an official announcement.

-----------

Of course, the French are known as congenital liars and rude waiters, and anything you hear from them is probably dubious at best, as our media is the only one that tells the truth.

If he's dead, why no big splashy announcement and holiday? I wonder if good ol' American spinach killed him?

Besides, hitting someone with a viola is only going to damage the viola. They're pretty fragile.

7. Look, he can't be dead. He hasn't done the video yet!!!
:sarcasm: :sarcasm:
"My Weekend at Ladin's"
Try to stay within the parameters of the current news story line. He can't die until he does
the threatening video. Then there's a Jessica Lynch type extraction, except unlike Jessica,
who is an honest person (that's not sarcastic, she is) Mr. Ladin won't spill the beans. He'll
be in a video cage carted around the video town square of "the Homeland." There will be a great
sign of relief but small crowds observing. Then he'll acquire something deadly, but we'll know
that he'd been roughed up so badly it was probably due to that torture bill the "gentleman's
club" voted for yesterday. It's got a certain order to it, requirements, script integrity.

11. When exactly did the Pakistanis announce that they would no longer
actively pursue Al-Qaeda? They said Osama could stay in Pakistan as long as he behaves himself...well there's not too much chance of bad behavior if he's DEAD!!! It wasn't long ago--I think at the beginning of this month but I'm not sure. Anyway, a timeline on this would be interesting.

17. more on the story:
http://www.focus-fen.net/index.php?id=n96380

Paris. A document of the French Foreign Intelligence Service (DGSE), cited by l'Est Républicain claims that the Saudi secret services had proves that Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden was dead, Reuters announced. More details were expected from Riad so that they could spread the news. The French authorities refuse to comment the news but last week the Chief of French Armed Forces General announced that he was not sure whether Osama Bin Laden was alive. According to the information of the Saudi services Bin Laden died on 23rd August from typhus while in Pakistan. The French intelligence thought the information was quite reliable and that was why they had sent it to the President, the Prime Minister and to the ministers of interior and defense, the publication points out.

FBI Official Thinks Bin Laden Is Dead

WASHINGTON, July 17, 2002

Bin Laden's Status

"I personally think he is probably not with us anymore but I have no evidence to support that."
FBI counterterrorism chief
Dale Watson

(CBS) FBI counterterrorism chief Dale Watson said Wednesday he believes Osama bin Laden is dead — the first time a senior U.S. law enforcement official has publicly given an opinion on the al Qaeda leader's status.

Watson, speaking at a conference of law enforcement officials at a downtown hotel, quickly emphasized that he had no evidence that bin Laden was dead, but his comments suggest that the FBI has no intelligence that proves bin Laden is alive.

"Is (bin Laden) alive or is he dead?" Watson said. "I am not really sure of the answer ... I personally think he is probably not with us anymore but I have no evidence to support that."

Watson also said that bin Laden's network of terrorist training camps has been dismantled, but "there is no question in my mind ... we will be attacked again."

If this is the October surprise, it's lame.

interesting is the last part from the General Bentegeat, who is the highest military in France and has commanded the French special forces in Afghanistan. A couple of weeks ago he said that "OBL is certainly not in Afghanistan" and "nobody is sure he is still alive, we haven't heard of him for several long months"....

44. He's NOT DEAD
PAUL was the WALRUS.. will people never get it straight?

It was explained years ago - and it will take people with a few years under their belts to get the inference made here :)

On the other hand he could be hanging in a meat locker with freezer burn for the last 5 years, waiting for the day when Americans would torch the White House once Bush had made us into World Wide Pariahs, advocating TORTURE and killing people whenever he felt like it, installing Kangaroo courts where you can't possibly WIN, and then are hanged, that kind of thing.

Our poor White House was burned down by the British not all that long ago, anyone know about that? I heard that's why it's NOW officially the WHITE HOUSE - they painted it WHITE after the blaze.. I'm just hoping that Bush doesn't leave his Nintendo machine plugged into an old wireing system in the basement or something, then blame any blaze on Citizens, saying they were trying to burn him out in protest... instead of terrorist electricians from the 1800s :)

I think they've already killed Bin Laden, and have cloned multiple copies of him, and those clones have to be AGED before we can trot them out and kill them as needed for Republican Holidays like 911.. that's why they are always capturing and killing the NUMBER TWO AL Queda guys, CLONING :)

58. Consider the TIMING of this plant: "OBL, please report to the white courtesy...
phone" won't work. IMO, someone may want OBL to make another appearance a few weeks before another crucial election. Planting a rumor that he's dead would in all likelihood make OBL want to pop up and announce, "No I'm not!"

Planing such a rumor would fit in perfectly with the Rove "scare 'em" strategy we've seen twice before, this time of year in 2002 and 2004. But it could backfire if Democrats and 9-11 victims' families keep reminding voters of Dubya's five years of flip-flops on the need to bring OBL to justice.
