Family Christian Stores is proud to partner with FoxFaith, a newly created subsidiary of 20th Century Fox, to introduce a new entertainment initiative that will excite you. Throughout the year, FoxFaith will be producing theatrical motion pictures with themes that either contain overtly Christian content or are derived from the work of a Christian author.

The first theatrical movie released in this program will be Love’s Abiding Joy which releases on Friday, October 6. Love’s Abiding Joy, directed by Michael Landon, Jr., is the fourth installment in the Love Comes Softly series from Janette Oke. Click here for trailers and other movie information.

As your partner in ministry, Family Christian Stores would like to invite you to a special FREE Preview Night of Love’s Abiding Joy on Tuesday, September 26. This screening is designed to give church leaders the opportunity to be the first to preview the film.
Click here to RSVP:puke: at a theater in your area.

10. Only on his father's side, so they have some wiggle room

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Landon#Early_life

Landon was born Eugene Maurice Orowitz in the New York City borough in the Queens neighborhood of Forest Hills, New York. Landon's father, Eli Maurice Orowitz, was a Jewish American actor and movie theater manager, and his mother, Peggy O’Neill, was an Irish American Catholic dancer and comedienne.

So, if we are to take anything from the ongoing soap opera "Days of Our Macacas", he doesn't really count. :sarcasm:

edit: caps

7. Aren't most movies "derived from the work of a Christian author"?
in this country, anyway, seeing as how Christianity is far and away the dominant religion.

Oh, right, they really mean "derived from the drivel of a fundie author". Never mind. :puke:

9. do you REALLY believe that?
Because, honestly, while I'd love to have a simple solution like that, I think this is only going to make them even more bull-headed.

17. No, I don't really believe it.
But it should serve to take away some from their argument that they are unrepresented in Hollywood. Yes, I know that argument was mostly bunk in the first place, but their whining will be much easier to dismiss now.

16. Confess! It looks LAME. It is evidently about a weak woman who's husband
whispers meaningful stuff about God just in time to keep her from FLIPPING out and then gives her a necklace they can't afford.

14. Oh My Fucking God
how boring! Christian books, movies, songs, et. cetera, have pretty much one idiotic message:

JesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesusJesus

WHY do they think intelligent people will be inspired by that drivel?
