Prepared for the Democrats not winning either House?
I am. I know there has been a lot of forecasts saying they will win enough seats but I will believe it when I see it. If they do well then that is great but I'm not counting on it.

I think if you put the expectations too high then it will be painful if it doesn't happen.

So there may be two more years of this yet to go.

1. Yup.
Cautiously optimistic, very hopeful, but not even close to counting my chickens. I simply couldn't handle the emotional toll of having my heart ripped out again. I will be fucking ecstatic if we pull it off, and cynically unsurprised if the rug gets pulled out from under us one more motherfucking time.

4. Prepared for OBL to be caught...
I am ready for our "stellar" win this year. I doubt we pick up anything (other then NY Gov and other true blue wins).

5. It's Already Been Decided....
That won't stop me from going to vote in November. I just don't think "they" are going to allow the Dems to get control of ANYTHING. They have too much at stake.

12. I almost expect it
I wish I could say different but I can't. We had a real good chance to take an angry nation and unite them but the party can't even get together on if we should leave Iraq let alone how and they don't seem a lot more united on anything else either. I've got nothing but drug warriors in my local races so there isn't a damned bit of difference between them on my main issue, if the party as a whole was going somewhere I might overlook that but with what we've got today I'm not sure I'll even vote.

I'd imagine the same goes for a lot of others. We had the chance, we had the angry public, we had issue after issue to take to the public and we couldn't get together on any of it to tell the nation where we plan to go. The dems as a whole likely would be better than the repubs but you've got to convince the public of that, not just leave them to assume it. If we win now it'll be more a vote against them than for us for a lot of people and that's not a sure thing.

15. I am prepared to make them steal it.
But I won't feel to bad about the thieves being in control when the shit hits the fan around the world. Let the take the blame for their policies instead of blaming them on those who would have done differently when it could have made a difference.

16. Nope. That is crap talk. I guess we should just all lay down and die.
Why not right? Get it over with now and save the humiliation in Nov. HA! Not a chance. Dem are going to control Congress and then the GOPers will dump on them for 2 years. I just hope the Dems are ready for leadership again. Time to grow those titanium spines Dems! You're going to need them!

19. Since you asked,
no. I am not.

If the Republicans retain control of the government after the elections I will simply not be able to stand it. Something in me will break.

I am crazy in love with America and seeing all these terrible things happen to her is just too much for me to bear: pre-emtive wars against people who had not done anthing to us, torture, the looting of the treasury, crooked voting machines... the list goes on and on.

I just can't stand it.
