Invading IRan, the last straw?

OK, so if Bush gets his way and Iran does something sufficient to, in *'s mind, start military action... will that be the last straw for you? And by last straw I mean, time to do something drastic... something some might consider treasonous? Or maybe fly the country? Id gladly finish out my studies in a foreign country if we invaded Iran, because that sort of warmongering would be a clear indication America is not a cool place to be anymore. I mean, the fact that invading Iran is even on the table now is rediculous, not to mention the fact WE ARE OCCUPYING a country in the middle east for no reason and with no set time to leave.

I mean... if there is a last straw for you, something that would make you actually do something drastic, would invading Iran be it?

I say yes. I think if that happens we may need to go to the paris plan for voicing our protests... and im being serious.

7. In seriousness - I wonder that a lot

Sometimes I think it's a sense of jaded irony - things have gone so far it just seems like a joke. Sometimes I think we are all so wrapped up in our own survival on a day to day basis that it's difficult to focus on the long-term, big picture. Or perhaps it's like a description of Nazi Germany I read, where decency is chipped away - apparently a little at a time so that it can sort of be explained away, until with each new outrage we become more and more numb.

I don't know. I wish I did. Look what happened in Mexico and Hungary when there was suspected election fraud. Why didn't that happen here? We have come to the point where the government of the United States is defending torture and yet there seems to be little moral outrage. It makes one weep.

but i think besides the lockstep neocons, a bigger problem is evangelical christians, who see islam as a religion of the devil, and want to obliterate it... while at the same time executing gays and jews and basically the exact same thing extremists muslims do. the irony would be overwhelming if it wasnt so true.
