Tortured info helped start Iraq "war"?
I heard on a talk-show (I think Randi's) that false information gathered during torture was used as justification for the invasion of Iraq.
That Saddam was developing bio-weapons and was working with al Qaeda.

Does anyone know anymore details?
Who was it they tortured and said all this?
Links?

Thanks

1. Why would they even bother?
The invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with "bad information". Ahmed Chalabi gave them all the trumped-up reasons they needed, and did it most willingly.

2. That was one of the reasons we went to Iraq.
But there was also the Office of Special Plans (pentagon), the White House Iraq
group, "Curve ball (German intel said he was not worth anything) and the forged
document out of Italy that told of the "African Yellow Cake," that Saddam wanted
so as to build bombs.

Bottom Line "they" came into office with plans for an Iraqi war and started looking
for reasons to do so from jump street.
