Rachael Maddow was GREAT slapping down a wingnut on MSNBC
She was in a face-off with some wingnut radio host about a boycott of Citgo.

Rachael said Chavez's statements were stupid. But she said so what? She made the point that given the choice between buying gas from Venezuala or Saudi Arabia, they'd have a hard time preferring to support the Saudis in the wake of 9-11.

She took a winger talking point and turned it right back against them.

And she did it gleefully. She used the classic right wing trick of treating your adversary like they are being ridiculous. Made the winger flustered.

She's also looking really good with her slightly longer hair these days. Okay it's trivial, but she's very magnetic personally and is a GREAT spokesperson for the left side.

1. I did enjoy her in the early morning on AAR
Where is she now? You definitely need a scorecard keeping up with AAR nowadays.

10. It's worth it.
It was great. It was an object lesson in how to fight fire with fire.

I would loooove to see a face off between her and Annie C or Rush.

14. She's gay, so I can only drool platonically
(sigh)

But she doesn't live very far from me....hubba hubba.

But it's merely a harmless TV crush, destined to remain uncomsumated.

15. That was pretty slick
It would be even better to suck them in to defending Saudi Arabia. Wingnuts are so poorly educated, few of them even know that most of the 911 boys were Saudis. I had a guy trying to tell me Osama was Iranian. And he refused to accept the truth, refused to even go to google.

They know what they know. And everything they know is wrong.
