Help Debunk right wing front group slandering Dems as racist and KKK
Edited on Fri Sep-22-06 07:49 AM by Mortos
I just read this today and don't know if it has been posted yet. This group has started airing radio ads accusing Democrats of starting the KKK, being racist, and saying that Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican.

The site is filled with lies and half truths all bashing democrats and praising republicans.

The spokesperson for the site and the only person listed as being associated with the web page is Francis Rice. There is contact information but it appears to be a front. There is no biographical data for Francis Rice which I find unusually for a politically themed website. I did a search of her name and no results came back other than the press releases this group has put out.

We need to debunk this obvious right wing swiftboat group and find out who is really behind it.

Come on DU, let's use our collective investigative power to find out who is really behind www.nationalblackrepublicans.com

2. Technically it is true...
I didn't go to the site but I do know there is a campaign to get AAs to vote repub based on history(Lincoln's Party)rather than the current realities.

3. They use historical data
but they skew it and make it seem current. It is very devious what they are doing and it is straight out of the Rove playbook:

Use your opponents strengths and make them appear as a weakness.

Anyway, here is some more information if anyone in D.C. knows about this area or building, check it out.

Their offices are located at

5. It was certainly true before Lyndon Johnson came along
Southern Democrats were always hidebound conservatives and avowed racists who were heavily invested in keeping the former slave population in their places, under the bootheels of southern gentry, meaning any white around. They're the reason that, while Congresses might be majority Democratic, the Repubs still had a voting majority. Northern Democrats called them "Boll Weevil Democrats" because they stayed hidden and rotted Congress from within.

The pubbies are great at blaming the present for the past. Liberals have been out of power since 1968 and they still cry into their silk hankies that liberals are responsible for the pubbbies' mess. Racist Democrats deserted the party when Johnson rammed the Civil Rights Act through, but the pubbies still shriek about how racist the Democrats are.

Some people are starting to wake up and realize just who has the problem and just who IS the problem, but it's an agonizingly slow process. In the meantime, when some braying dimwit starts rating about raceist Democrats and liberal messes, just keep saying "That was 40 years ago, dummy!" The dope won't get it, but others within earshot will.

6. This site is filled with racially charged accusations
against the Democratic party. It is trying to tie in the actions of southerners 5 decades or more ago with the party today.

7. I grant you this
here in Atlanta it is beyond me how the mentality of one human being thinks today. I have an Aunt that is a repug that lives to debate with a Dem. She's wrong not most of the time but all of the time. When I are any Dem refutes her analysis by truth and facts she goes into a tyrant personality. Her face turns red as well as the expressions she eludes is almost demonic. It's as if truth is the connecting verbage for "METAMORPHOSIS".

8. Don't waste your time.
You can't educate the ignorant. They just don’t understand the concept of change.

9. Wrong
You CAN educate the ignorant - it is the willfully stupid you cannot affect.

10. Children you can have
the patience to teach and to educate, that plants the foundation of logic and common sense. Adults that refuse the final sum of 1+1=2 are from another planet. They are more concern with the party than the country. If a dem says a monkey cannot speak, the repug's will ask what language.

11. I define ignorant as
people that are proud of what they don't know. What's your definition?

12. That is not what ignorant means
uneducated in general; lacking knowledge or sophistication; "an ignorant man"; "nescient of contemporary literature"; "an unlearned group incapable of understanding complex issues"; "exhibiting contempt for his unlettered companions"

I cna find no definition that includes being proud.

As an above post says and the old saying goes, you can cure ignorance, but not stupidity.

13. The Dictionary One:
"A state of unknowing." It shouldn't have any connotations about intelligence. Or, in Ron White's words: "You can't fix stupid."
