I think I have read almost every thread
about the Chavez comments and have even posted a few of my own. i have read passionate comments about the Rangel/Pelosi rebuttals and why/how they shoud have or why did they not and I have been patiently waiting for someone to point out the following:

when was the last time the leader of a nation came to the floor of the UN and called the "leader" of the "greatest" country of the world the "Devil" and then went on the next day to call him an alchoholic?

If you are looking for a response to the freepers trying to allign dems/proggresives with chavez...try this...

Yeah...pretty harsh words from Chavez...wonder what caused him to say such things?

2. What's the big deal?
We're talking about an administration that calls us traitors if we exercise freedom of speech.

What do you expect from other countries, constant praise? Not gonna happen.

5. El Diablo. That label will stick. A Canadian official called him a "moron"
a couple years back and was dismissed from her post. She and her comment have been forgotten by most.

6. an attempt on his life and office by the cia
there is no mystery what causes chavez to say * is the devil w. whiff of sulphur, have you forgotten that bushco tried to kill this man and remove him from his elected office?

* is by definition a devil and an enemy of the voters of venezuela and chavez personally

maybe you forgive a man who tries to have you killed by cia, but i don't think you have that right to forgive a man who tried to have another killed by cia

chavez has earned the right to say what he likes, if somebody tries to have me killed, i'm allowed to say they're the devil

as for * is an alcoholic that is only saying what everybody knows and what bush himself has acknowledged
