What is the Dem message, so close to November? Are they
skirting responsibility, keeping quiet (except Pelosi and Rangel, two reps. I thought were smart),
because they aren't inspiring confidence.

2. "Thank you, sir; may we have another?"
Been voting Democratic since 1984. It never fucking gets better. I fucking hate our one-and-a-half-party system.

4. Ah, the John Kerry approach.
The man kicks unholy ASS now. Wish he could have found his voice a couple of years ago.

7. I've finaly come to the conclusion
that we should form a political party, we could call it the democratic party, since no one seems to be using it anymore.

9. The one place I should think they'd be welcome is on Countdown
And yet nothing. The Tim Ryans of the world are really shouting loudly about the TORTURE subject in Congress, as Keith showed us tonight in a quick video clip, but it makes no difference if the public don't hear them. They need to get in front of the cameras and talk with Keith.

12. Yes, I read that one too
All good points. Some appear to be treating this like it's one of a few times the Dems have let us down on matters like this. If that were the case, I'd agree with them -- give them a chance.

But the fact is they've had plenty of chances; BushCo are nothing if not prolific in offering new reasons every day to believe they're a glorified criminal organization whose intent is to destroy this county and sell it and its people down the river to the highest bidder. And he's been in office just shy of 6 years.

I used to be one of the "corporate media doesn't give the Dems a fair shake" people. I still believe that's true to a large extent. But when Pelosi and Rangel can manage to get a message out attacking Chavez for his comments about Bush**, yet not melt tv sets with the scorching condemnation they should be feeling about Bush**'s pro-torture stance, complete with words like "un-American", "illegal", and "NO debate", then one really has to wonder where their priorities lie.

I'm sure Keith would have any of the Dems on if they asked for air-time. He's spoken with Conyers and Boxer in the past. So the question stands. Where is our Democratic leadership?

insight, magellan. Thanks.

And BTW, Bill Clinton is on KO tomorrow. We shall see how that goes.

22. Oh!
Thanks! I think I'll abstain, though. There are a few going already on that very specialized topic...which is how I got confused. lol

But I'd like to know the answer to your question too. There just doesn't seem to be one voice on anything from the Dems unless you have access to their website(s). And that's really expecting too much from the public. Words on a screen or on paper don't move like hearing them do.

I'll keep saying it: they need to commit to some serious face-time on Countdown and anyone else who'll have them.

:hi:

That question sounded like Chris "Tweety" Matthews asked it!! --->

If you get daily e-mails from people like General Clark, Senator Kerry, Senator Edwards and countless, COUNTLESS others..

then you know...

They have TERRIFIC answers ----

But they have NO.....

None.. zip... nada... zilch.

The media only wants to talk about Bush...

I'd give you a "5 minute major" penalty if I didn't like you so much..

(and they could have been in '04, but I wonder about the machines) they deserve what they get, but we will all suffer.

23. yep.

Gingrich actually suggested "Had Enough?" as the Democratic slogan for this election.

Actually, the psychology of this past week or two has been pretty wierd. One Purple State Senate race after another is firming up and tipping Democratic, but Democrats in Blue States (but Red House districts) are having some kind of second thoughts for reasons no one has quite put their finger on. There's a reluctance of some kind to leave inferiority behind and lead into The Unknown, imho. Some kind of problem of nerve, of being willing and able to wing things to the extent Republicans have been doing all along.

There only seems to be one way to convince the Stupids that their ideas are wrong, and that involves letting them run things into failure. That's the sad part. The good part is that Parties disqualify themselves from rule for a generation or more by just cratering this variety of badly.
