Help me add the final line to my oped.

Below is part of an oped I am writing. My guess is that the context of what happened is so common that I don't even need to explain:

Randy unbelievably stated that Claire might be influenced by Democrats that support NAMBLA, an organization that advocates child sexual abuse. First, no Democrat supports this organization. Second, does Randy know the number of child abusers that Claire McCaskill (a former prosecutor) put behind bars?

Randy wants to smear McCaskill by randomly juxtaposing her name with various causes and organizations (many of which she has had absolutely nothing to do with) without a single reference to her voting record or beliefs. <HOW DO I END IT?>

just saying the words does not make it true, as much as Randy would like us all to believe.

3. Would a person who uses such underhanded techniques

in order to win an election be an honorable representative of the people if elected?

That is my suggestion for an ending.

Or, What part of "truth" does Randy not understand?

If we tolerate such disreputable tactics and they become the only effective means to win elections, would we be in the position to care about ethical representation?
