The Bushes & the Truth About Iran
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 09:29 PM by Timbuk3
I don't have time to see if anyone has posted this, yet. If it's a dupe let me know and I'll delete it.

Has anyone seen Robert Parry's piece on the pending war with Iran, yet?

Does "October Surprise" ring a bell?

Having gone through the diplomatic motions with Iran, George W. Bush is shifting toward a military option that carries severe risks for American soldiers in Iraq as well as for long-term U.S. interests around the world. Yet, despite this looming crisis, the Bush Family continues to withhold key historical facts about U.S.-Iranian relations.

It's an excellent read. Well, "excellent" is probably the wrong word. How about "informative"?

Take a few minutes and read it. You'll be glad you did.

Remember Bush's FIRST executive order when he took office?

3. Why doesn't Iran show their proof of this?
Edited on Thu Sep-21-06 10:01 PM by patrice
How can the U.S. attack Iran without an Army? Would we really use tactical nukes? I guess I don't know enough to imagine the scenario that would make that "plausible", but it just doesn't seem likely to me.

5. Thanks
Guess I'll leave it here, because it deserves exposure.

6. Iranians no longer dependent on Americans for war materials
The difficulties reflected by the secret arms trade agreements between the US and Iran revealed the weakness of the Shah built American and British supplied military.

The Iranians are self sufficient militarily or at least independent of the west. They have a significant defense industry now. They have learned to provide their own manufacturing and logistic support after the terrible Iran Iraq war in which hundreds of thousands of Iranians were killed by the US backed Saddam Hussein.

They have developed a formidable hybrid military strategy to take on the US threat. Bush underestimates them just as the Israelis underestimated the Iranian equipped Hezbollah.
